Utility Claims

We understand the impact a utility project can have upon land owners and occupiers. Our early involvement can make a real difference in how the project progresses and reducing the impact of it on the affected party.

Davidson & Robertson’s surveyors and consultants are recognised as industry experts in connection with utilities claims. We have years of experience and a comprehensive working knowledge of the legislation and impacts that utility projects can have on land owners and occupiers.

We can assist with a range of projects for both new and existing infrastructure including water mains and sewers; gas pipelines and above ground installations; electricity overhead pole lines, pylons and underground cables; and telecommunications overhead lines, underground cables and associated apparatus.  It starts with us agreeing terms of entry, accommodation works, through to ensuring that sites are fully reinstated, and/or the appropriate compensation is paid for reinstatement, losses and disturbance. In addition, the utility company will normally pay Davidson & Robertson’s fees and expenses on behalf of the land owner or occupier

D&R is engaged with all the major utility providers across Scotland and Northern England, ensuring that our clients compensate, or are compensated, for losses and disturbance incurred from the installation, maintenance, replacement or renewal of utility assets. We negotiate with BT, Openreach, ScottishPower, SSE, Scottish Gas Networks, United Utilities, Northumberland Water and Scottish Water, to name but a few.

Please give your local Davidson & Robertson office a call to discuss your needs.
