Professional background:
Alasdair is from a strong farming background having grown up on the family farm in West Lothian which also benefits from a number of diversified interests. Alasdair has also worked on a number of farms within the locality and in the winter months can often be found keeping roads open at the helm of a snow plough and gritter. Alasdair graduated with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) Degree in Agriculture from SRUC Edinburgh in 2020 and started with D&R in October that same year, he is now working towards his CAAV qualification.
Outside of work:
Alasdair still helps on his family’s diversified farm, especially with the running of their pedigree flock of Texel sheep, often being found in the showring in the summer months. Alasdair has a keen interest in shooting and is also an active member of the local Young Farmers Club.
