Professional background: Martin joined D&R in July 1991 as an Assistant Surveyor and has progressed through the ranks becoming a Partner in 2000 and, following incorporation in 2005, the Senior Director today.
He is a past President of the Scottish Agricultural Arbiters' and Valuers' Association (SAAVA), an examiner for the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) and is an Honorary Vice President of the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS). He is a member of the Agricultural Law Association, the Compulsory Purchase Association and was appointed to the CAAV panel of Arbitrators in 2021. He is a RICS Registered Valuer and a Regulated European Valuer (REV).
Outside of work: Martin runs his own farm, including a flock of Herdwick sheep. He likes to keep himself fit through curling, running and hill walking. When not taking an active part in sport Martin enjoys supporting Currie RFC.
