Chartered Surveyor Paul Robinson, has joined the Senior Management Team of Directors at Davidson & Robertson (D&R), creating a stronger platform for growing the business and developing staff across Cumbria and south west Scotland.
Davidson & Robertson, the firm of rural surveyors and consultants, with offices on both sides of the border has promoted one of their key senior team from Associate Director to Director to develop their services across the region.
Paul Robinson’s internal promotion recognises his achievements and expertise in supporting clients across the region, especially in areas relating to utilities and infrastructure.
Now that Paul is heading the development of the Cumbrian-based office, it frees up fellow Director Chris Edmunds to develop the Agency sector for D&R across Northern England and Scotland.
Paul Robinson grew up on his family’s dairy farm near Wigton and went on to study a Degree in Agriculture then a Masters in Rural Estate Management at Cirencester, before becoming a Chartered Surveyor.
With over 20 years of experience, Paul has put his technical knowledge and people skills to effective use, gaining a wealth of experience in estate management, with local authorities (including Cumbria County Council and the Lake District National Park).
Joining D&R in 2021, Paul’s current portfolio of clients includes energy storage developers and infrastructure companies alongside Tarmac, where he provides asset management and advice to their property portfolio in the north of England. He also has a growing list of locally based private clients facing compulsory purchase orders for the A66 upgrade and other infrastructure issues like HS2.
Commenting on his promotion to Director, Paul said “We have a strong team in our Cockermouth office and have grown considerably since the office was opened in 2015. It’s exciting to be part of a dynamic and growing business. As a Director, I’m looking forward to supporting our team and shaping the strategic development of our presence across Cumbria and south west Scotland.
“Having a practical and professional background in farming has always proved to be beneficial, it helps us appreciate the practical implications that affect our clients. As a team, we know the right balance between or hands-on experience and professional expertise helps achieve the best outcomes for our clients, and that is the case for all aspects of surveying – be that for ongoing management, compensation issues or valuing and selling properties.”
